In history’s past on the path I had a dream
Of the world in harmony it did seem,
Accepting one as who they believe and are
One’s life’s choices, no one did bar.

Free, to climb a mountain, to touch a star
Free, to search the universe, where answers are,
Free to venture through life, with open eyes and mind
Another creature’s belief, will not blind.

Free to boldly walk the lands, both far and near
All the while following ones dreams, without fear,
Not to be accepted by social ideology, you see
But the love, kindness, knowledge within, of a spirit born free.

Free, for ones humanity to embrace
Not being labeled by belief, gender or race,
Free, for one’s dignity not to be denied
Though there’s many a mortal, who has tried.

Here on the path it’s not a dream, but a reality
To follow ones dream, with a open heart, you see,
Free to love another without fear, as it should be

Hello Diary…

Taking a break from life adventures to share a few thoughts, Diary… as the experts say, the weather has been “unsettled” and have had some storms here on the prairie but so far have stayed clear of the path… have life’s storms in the area also but trying to help where I can… and will not give up in spite of obstacles that Fate, and the weather, may put in one’s path… “When one suddenly finds oneself in a swamp up to one’s armpits in alligators, it is difficult to remember the objective was to drain the swamp”.. 🙂

A free spirit am I… 🙂

While sipping a spot of tea
And relaxing in the morning time,
While contemplating my tomorrows
Thought I’d pen some thoughts that rhyme.

As I venture through my life
With each step, all the while being me,
An open mind, a heart of dreams
A spirit, enjoying being free.

A spirit that views another
As another feels, wishes to be,
In a realm of acceptance
So another can enjoy being free.

Free…. to love another
No color, gender or race,
Only to know and feel happiness
No social walls to face.

Free to live life as one chooses
Follow a dream, the heart would say,
Free to walk ones own path of life
Filled with adventures along the way.

Well, I has better close for now… life’s challenges on the horizon along with adventures that await me… but I shall return one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

So with open heart and mind it is on down the path I shall venture
With a pocket full of memories, on the horizon be my dreams, a new adventure
The sails set full, safe harbor fading in the distance, becoming a faint glow,
My course is set, my ship, the Spirit, is loaded, my destiny awaits, I know
