Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂
( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 ).. 🙂
Hello Diary,
Still busy here preparing for the winter doldrums but thought I would take a few moments to share a few thoughts… while I am busy, have not forgotten others, and I (and anybody in their own way) can still help others make a difference with little or no expense or change in one’s daily life so I took Mr. Obama’s advice…. and anyone and everyone can help make a difference their own way and many do, they do not need someone to tell them when and how… “When a friend is in trouble, don’t annoy the friend by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.” (Author Unknown), … 🙂
I, like many others, occasionally make purchases on Amazon, especially the many books I have in my library and currently read.. I have an agreement with Amazon that they donate a percentage of my purchases to a charity, in this case $192.00 to E.I. Foodbank… 🙂

As everyone knows, daily I share as accurate a weather observation possible (no fancy expensive weather instruments) with the National Weather Service, USA to help them with understanding the weather and climate change (it gives my mind work and helps others)… it only takes a few minutes of my time, I also share the same observations with the Met Office Operations Centre, Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom to help them with climate change also.. 🙂

And with me being on the internet, I have been working with the World Community Grid and Scripps Research Institute through the BOINC Project in Mapping Cancer (adults and children) since 2005… the pc is on, I click on the icon and they use my pc to research data while I carry on with daily activities.… 🙂

Yes, these are a few things I do and, with other folks world over, to help those who find themselves in troubled waters and hopefully build a better place for the future world and a pleasant ending that never ends… 🙂

As I gaze upon the horizon Where my destiny waits for me, My mind gently browses the past That which has become a memory. I grew up on a farm Ohhhhh, the dreams had I, To save the world from the evil dragons Once, as a ole Marine, I did try. I once loved and and lost Suffered a broken heart, they say, But now the heart has mended As love managed to find a way. With my hands I helped build a nation Now the back is tired and sore, But no white flag of surrender here With a heart of dreams to do much more. There were those by whom I were scorned As I ventured down life's highway, They ridiculed and condemned As I lived and loved life my way. Of the life I lived, I have no regrets Would not change a thing, I must confess, And I will continue to be me As I venture down the path of happiness. As my mortal clock starts to wind down One wonders, is there another life for me, Sadly, I must close, and seek out destiny For destiny has the answer, destiny is the key. (Larry “Dutch” Woller)
And as I venture down the path least traveled, with a heart filled with memories, I know that I am not alone… 😉
Alas, I shall have to close for now for life is calling, adventures lie ahead, more memories to make and folks who could use a rainbow.. But I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂 Until we meet again… May the love that you give Always return to you, That family and friends are many And always remain true, May your mind only know peace No suffering or strife, May your heart only know love and happiness On your journey through life.
