Still busy here preparing for the winter doldrums but thought I would take a few moments to share a few thoughts… while I am busy, have not forgotten others, and I (and anybody in their own way) can still help others make a difference with little or no expense or change in one’s daily life so I took Mr. Obama’s advice…. and anyone and everyone can help make a difference their own way and many do, they do not need someone to tell them when and how… “When a friend is in trouble, don’t annoy the friend by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.” (Author Unknown),  …  🙂

 

I, like many others, occasionally make purchases on Amazon, especially the many books I have in my library and currently read.. I have an agreement with Amazon that they donate a percentage of my purchases to a charity, in this case $192.00 to E.I. Foodbank… 🙂

As everyone knows, daily I share as accurate a weather observation possible (no fancy expensive weather instruments) with the National Weather Service, USA to help them with understanding the weather and climate change (it gives my mind work and helps others)… it only takes a few minutes of my time, I also share the same observations with the Met Office Operations Centre, Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom to help them with climate change also.. 🙂

And with me being on the internet, I have been working with the World Community Grid and Scripps Research Institute through the BOINC Project in Mapping Cancer (adults and children) since 2005… the pc is on, I click on the icon and they use my pc to research data while I carry on with daily activities.… 🙂

Yes, these are a few things I do and, with other folks world over, to help those who find themselves in troubled waters and hopefully build a better place for the future world and a pleasant ending that never ends… 🙂

Hello Diary,

Has been a busy week the past week preparing for winter as change is coming but thought I would take some time to share a few thoughts…..  🙂

Yes, change, in many forms, are coming and by working together we can make this world a better place even though we may be different, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” (Barack Obama ) … so here on the path I do not wait for a leader to tell me what to do or try to do good for others… I wake up every morning with a open mind and a heart full of dreams, understanding and love and follow my heart…  🙂

There is much I can do and what I do may seem small at first glance, but “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” ( Mother Teresa) …  and there may be times when I feel like I am doing it alone, but “Confidence is knowing who you are and not changing it a bit because of someone’s version of reality is not your reality.” (Shannon L. Alder) so following my dreams while working with others to hopefully make a difference….  🙂

 

 

The change is rapidly approaching
As I contemplate the tomorrows,
Leaving some memories filled with happiness

Hello Diary, 

It has been a hectic week of getting new refrigerator and washer, back to following the heart…. yes , it is all about the heart and it is known throughout the universe that I am not into religion or faith based beliefs, I do not feel that I need someone to tell me what or how to believe.. I just follow my heart with an open mind, often times being different and on my own ; “The person who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The person who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever seen before.’’ (Albert Einstein) …  🙂
That being said, the universe is deep and mysterious, a great deal is unknown and I, for one, do not have the capabilities to determine what is real and what is not, other than that proven by knowledge beyond a reasonable doubt and therefore I cannot, nor do I wish to, point to another mortal, and ridicule them for what they  believe in...I believe that every one has the right to believe what and how they wish to; “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” (The Declaration of Independence)…  🙂
I have nothing against religion/faith based beliefs, but I do not approve of certain elements of today’s world societies that use religion/faith based beliefs as justification to inflict harm, pain, suffering, ridicule and conflict on another; “What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or in the holy name of liberty or democracy?” ( Mahatma Gandhi)…  🙂

Hello Diary,

Have been busy multi-tasking this past week… have been working outdoors preparing my backyard friends and myself for the coming winter.. had another brief visit from Mr. Jack Frost… 🙂

I also were preparing the indoors for a new refrigerator and washing machine to be delivered this coming week.. I am paying the delivery folks to remove the old ones so they can recycle… 🙂

I also ventured out and got the flu vaccine and also the latest Covid booster, not only for my protection but to make sure I do not become a menace to others… and speaking of others, I have not forgotten those who could use some help to follow their dreams and help others..  🙂

 

 

Of course, I take a few moments to meditate with a spot of tea and think about me…  🙂

Wondering about being different
Reminds me of words from a song,
Where do I fit in, one would ask
One wonders, where do I belong.

Does the image without
Determine who I am to be,
Even though the spirit within
May be different, be me.

Do I follow my heart’s dream
When heart and mind disagree,

Hello Diary,

Been busy but thought I would stop by and share a few thoughts… yes, time is moving on and change is in the winds..  normal is in a state of change. yesterday is becoming a memory and tomorrow is still a mystery… my backyard friends and I have been busy preparing for the tomorrow’s and helping those who could use someone to be there for them… couldn’t be there in person but can help the folks in other ways, especially in Florida, etc.….  🙂

While getting my affairs in order, ventured outdoors to help my backyard friends, worked on the ground feeder preparing for winter…. 🙂

Mr. Squirrel was so busy getting ready for winter he had to stop and rest for a bit… 🙂

While the spiders were preparing for hibernation, I almost walked into this spider web at the corner of the house (center of the picture near the top), it were about 4 feet square .. 🙂

At the moment taking a tea break….  🙂

I set here with my tea
And watch the leaves a fallin’
It’s becoming clear that one day 
Jack Frost will come a callin’

Most of my bird friends have went south
In the southern warmth they’ll stay
But I’ll not shed a tear in sorrow
For they’ll be back again some day

All us creatures that are staying behind
To deal with the cold and snow
Are getting our house in order
And waiting for winter’s blow

The squirrels are gathering leaves and such
To insulate their winters nest
The possum is checking every nook and cranny
To find a place for his winters rest

The bee’s are picking up the pace
Gathering nectar with the morning sun
