While preparing for the weekend heat wave, were thinking about others in the world that could use a bit of support, showing that someone cares, they are not alone…if nothing more than a kind word giving them hope… “When a friend is in trouble, don’t annoy the friend by asking if there is anything you can do. Yes, it is a Sunday and thus far a quiet Sunday (the storm earlier moved away), though possible storms later today… a short time ago, took this photo of what is called a Towering Cumulus, indicating a unstable atmosphere and the possible beginnings of a thunderstorm so preparing… “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. And as I contemplate the future, I realize that dealing with nature is a great deal like dealing with life… as I gaze about the world, there are manmade storms brewing…. how one deals with those storms, nature and manmade can determine ones destiny… “Anyone can achieve their fullest potential… who we are might be predetermined, but the path we follow is always of our own choosing. We should never allow our fears or the expectations of others to set the frontiers of our destiny. Your destiny can’t be changed but, it can be challenged. It’s a quiet Sunday morning after a few days of heat, humidity and storms, some remnants of the weather left over…

A Quiet Morning…

A quiet morning to wake up to
Sitting, gazing out, with a spot of tea,
Contemplating my tomorrows
Wondering, what will the future be.

A quiet morning, a open mind
Thinking about the path, its mysteries many fold,
Each to explore and treasure
Soon a treasured memory to behold.

A quiet morning, a open heart
Another day to learn and explore about me.
It is my life.. only get one chance
Will have to do it my way.. don’t you see.

A quiet morning, being different
Reminding me of words from a song,
Where do I fit in, one asks
One wonders, where do I belong.

A quiet morning, on the path
At the end of it, on the horizon, a lovely rainbow,
It is there my answers lie… the truth is known
Until then, only Fate will know.

A quiet morning, spirit and mind at the ready
To seek the rainbow… perhaps around the next bend,
Once found, I’ll have my answers, you see

Hello Diary,

Have been a busy week, dealing with the weather while following dreams, chores, working on projects and preparing for the coming heat wave starting tomorrow, Friday, through the weekend… but, will not raise the “white flag” “If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right” (Mary Kay Ash) ….. 🙂

Weeder’s Thoughts…..

I have raked the soil and planted the seeds
Now I’ve joined the army that fights the weeds.
For me no flashing saber and sword,
To battle the swiftly marching horde;

With a valiant heart I fight the foe,
My only weapon a trusty hoe.
No martial music to swing me along,
I march to the robin redbreast song.

No stirring anthem of bugle and drum
But the cricket’s chirp and the honey bee’s hum.
No anti-aircraft or siren yell
But there’s Trumpet-creeper and Lily-bell.

With a loving heart and a sturdy hand,
I defend the borders of flower-land;

Diary, the last time I visited I posted some photos of a spider web taken recently.. here are two photos I took last year of spider webs… these are not, repeat NOT, Halloween decorations.. 🙂 .. The first is a web from house to auto… roughly measuring 6 feet (1.8m) in diameter..

Here is a photo at night with spider.. web 4 feet (1.2m) in diameter, spider approximately 3 inches (76.2mm) in diameter…

As far as the heat wave is concerned, have a bottle of wine and my entire library (1000+ books) downloaded on the Kindle Fire…mystery, romance… wine and fire, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… 🙂

Well, I had better close for now… finish up a few things and then ready for the heat, not to mention dreams, rainbows and whatever else lies around the next bend on the path… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise….

Just Color Me A Free Spirit….

I’m just a free spirit
Open mind and heart is all I’ll ever be,
Don’t need much money
Being rich is not for me.

I have a pocket full of dreams
My fate, has yet to be told,
As I sail from safe harbor
While watching my destiny unfold.

I am not in a “box”
No social chains, you’ll see,

Hello Diary,

Yes, woke up this Tuesday morning on the green side of the grass to enjoy the day, and life… more storms on the horizon for tomorrow… but neither “fears, nor rain, nor sleet, or gloom of night will stop any adventures.. 🙂 “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” (Roy T. Bennett) … thought it might be best to share a few thoughts…

Pleasant weather this morning, ventured out before sunrise to check the weather instruments (as I do every morning no matter the weather) and guess what, Spidey, the spider, is baaaaaaaaaaack!…

Sooooooooooo, no one knows where Spidey is at, hiding in his glen, to come back another day… 🙂

As I browsed the news as of late, I cannot help but wonder about a element of world society and their obsession (belief) about obtaining wealth, sometimes at all costs.. I suppose that is a part of being closed minded… “I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief” (Gerry Spence)… as for me, I am far wealthier than they can ever hope to be.. 🙂

I’m far richer than the rich
Wealthier than the wealthy by far,
I have gold in the sun
I have silver in the star.

I have dreams that I follow
That are more precious than gold,
As I venture through life
Eagerly watching, the dreams unfold.

I have diamonds, too many to count

Well, I had better close for now.. will be eagerly awaiting to vision what dreams have instore this evening, will usually have two choices; venture into the light and live and enjoy life or stay in the shadows, the darkness and never know true happiness, the choice is clear.. 🙂 but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…

Not sure what awaits me at the “finish line of life” “ I am currently attending the School of Life, learning more about the universe and me… and Graduation Day will be the day of my funeral and it is then I will know if I failed or I succeeded and graduated”… (Larry “Dutch” Woller).. but the journey will be done my way.. 🙂
