Fall on the path least traveled….

Dear Diary…

It has been some time since I have ventured in to say hello and leave a few thoughts, busy taking care of business and living life and chasing rainbows… 🙂 the colors outdoors are a indication of a change in season and one day Jack Frost will come calling…followed by the winter doldrums… this may be the last rose of summer;

last-rose-of-summer

Reminds me of a lovely song by Andre Rieu and a pleasant one to listen to while reading or typing, bring back a memory or two of summer’s past… 🙂

Gone are the fields of green, with harvest nearing a end, the ground getting ready for its winter’s sleep;

greenfields-gone

The fall colors slowly taking over the summer green, for one last show of color before nature takes its winter’s nap;

mums

The leaves of autumn starting to gather, another indication that winter will make its presence known one day and one best prepare for it;

fall-leaves

Reminds me of a song by Nat King Cole, pleasant to listen to while watching the leaves lazily circle on their journey to the ground;

But winter is not necessarily a time of cold and gloom, for within the heart and mind lies the glow of the summer’s warmth in the form of memories…and it is a time of year to relax, and like nature, re-generate to make ready for the coming spring…a time to chart a course of life, to contemplate what the future may bring, the hopes that each day will be all that we wished for it to be, and filled with happiness and adventure..

So the winter doldrums will be another adventure, the summer moving indoors ( and still some outdoor activity also.. 🙂 ) tai chi, meditation, planning for the spring planting, planning spring and summer projects, perhaps writing some poetry, sharing thoughts here, goodness! lots to do!.. a active time but done so in a relaxing atmosphere, no hectic pace here.. like the summer, a lovely place somewhere between the old and the new… 🙂

Well, Diary, had better close for now, need to finish up the day and a few chores.. just thought I would pop in and share a few thoughts and leave a couple of quotes also;

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary” Steve Jobs

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience” Teilhard Chardin

So, it is on down the path little Bree and I venture, two dreamers chasing rainbows…shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise….

Will miss the butterflies also… 🙂
