Destiny sits upon the morning horizon
Always in site, but never clear
And as I travel along the road I have chosen
 Destiny remains forever in place
 Sitting upon the morning horizon

 But as the years pass
And the road spans the distance
 Between yesterday and tomorrow
I know my destiny will arrive

For time alone will close the gap
So yesterday becomes dust filled memories
 And the horizon of tomorrow
Will be the road of today

For then, there will be no yesterday or tomorrow, only today
 And when that day arrives
I will find peace and be complete
For I will be one with my destiny

“Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” ― Roy T. Bennett Hello Diary, Taking a break from making changes to share a few thoughts.. In today’s world life has thrown challenges into the mix, some that will require change to some degree… unfortunately, in today’s world there are those who do not want change “Life is a process of becoming… a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.” (Anais Nin)…. Not here on the path for we are taking change in stride, in order to help make it a better place… when needed I wear a mask, for my health and for the consideration of others… 🙂

As I have said before, I have retired from driving, the need does not justify the means so goodbye to the auto… 🙂

By doing so I have accomplished two things, 1. I have reduced pollution and dependency on fossil fuels, hoping to help create a better environment for those who occupy this universe now and after I depart… I can leisurely order all I need online, have a better variety and have it delivered to my front door… when I need to venture about the village, I walk, getting the much needed exercise many pay good money for…. 🙂 2. I am no longer wasting money on something I really don’t need, money that I can use for things I do need or wish to have… I can also share some with others, as they deal with their life’s storms… I am a sustaining donor to the foodbank..

I help the children of the local children’s home realize their dreams…

I help people deal with cancer, virus, etc. to help others…

Why, I even help my backyard friends.. 🙂

It is not much but they know that someone cares and has their back.. “No matter the pain or suffering, it is always better if it’s a burden shared by two, instead of a weight carried by one alone”… 🙂 For communication I have a multitude of options to chat with folks all over the universe… I even have letter writing… 🙂

And “Any piece of knowledge I acquire today has a value at this moment exactly proportioned to my skill to deal with it. Tomorrow, when I know more, I will recall that piece of knowledge and use it better. “ (Mark van Doren ), I have my Spanish lesson ( I know just enough to get me in a whole lot of trouble if I am not careful)…. 🙂

All that being said, I am not stressed nor live in fear of life’s storms, for “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. (Author Unknown), or as Bea Arthur would say (from “The Unsinkable Molly Brown), I am unsinkable… 🙂 Yes, one does not have to do a great deal to adjust life and be happy “If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right” (Mary Kay Ash).. well, have rambled enough, will close for now and work on some more changes, follow dreams and chase rainbows, but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂 Yes, no stress or fear here, gazing at a blue horizon while chilling and sipping a bit of tea while thinking of those bare necessities… 🙂

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow them.” (Louisa May Alcott) on the path least traveled…

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy ( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 ).. 🙂 A day to contemplate tomorrows and browse the memories of yesterday… 🙂

As I gaze upon the horizon
Where my Fate waits for me,
My mind gently browses the past
That which has become a memory.

I grew up on a farm
Ohhhhhh, the dreams had I,
To save the world from the dragons
Once, as a Marine, I did try.

I once loved and lost
Suffered a broken heart, they say
But now the heart has mended
As love managed to find a way.

With my hands I helped build a nation
Now the back is tired and sore,
But no white flag of surrender here
With a heart of dreams to do much more.

There were those by whom I were scorned
As I ventured down life's highway,
They ridiculed and condemned
As I lived and loved life my way.

Of the life I lived, I have no regrets
Would not change a thing, I must confess,
And I will continue to be me
As I venture down the path of happiness.

As my mortal clock starts to wind down
One wonders, is there another life for me,
For now, I must close, and seek out Fate
For Fate has the answer, Fate is the key.
     (Larry "Dutch" Woller)

As Edith Piaf once sang; Non, je n’ai aucun regret (No, I have no regrets ) … 🙂 Hello Diary, Change is taken place here on the path, bringing in the new (phone)..

But we are not getting rid of the old, for it too has a place… 🙂

Technology aside for the moment, it is a Sunday morning and time for tea, mediation and contemplating the tomorrows… 🙂

A peaceful Sunday Morning, watching the sunrise
Thoughts abound, whiled sipping a spot of tea,
While taking in Nature's outdoor portrait
Contemplating, on what Fate may have in store for me.

Change is slowly coming, it whispers in the winds
The door is slowly closing on past history,
With a new awakening with the mind and heart
But the future is still shrouded in mystery.

With freedom of being different, in many ways
No social shackles do this mortal wear,
Do welcome change with open mind and heart
No fear, no worry or dread do I bear.

Does change stop at mortal death, one wonders
Or does it go on forever and ever,
Will I ask the same at another time and place
Somewhere past the 12th of Never?.

Will my thought and spirit continue
When, as in all things, time comes to an end,
Or does all things cease to be when
To the grave, the mortal body Fate does send.

Alas, but must deal with the present, this Sunday
So now will store thoughts and musings yet to be told,
For it is down the path least traveled I do venture
To search and hopefully find, what life and Fate may behold.

And at the end of the path lies the rainbow from where I will find my answers… 🙂 Alas, shall close for now “There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stopped the story.” (Frank Herbert), but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t’ rise…. 🙂 Ahhhhh, browsing through the memories, thanking those were the days!!.. 🙂

“The only thing that stands between you and your dream is the will to try and the belief that it is actually possible.” (Joel Brown) on the path least traveled..

Hope is...

Hope is a feather floating in a bright blue sky
Hope is that sparkle that shines in your eyes.
Hope is a butterfly fluttering on the wind
Hope is good times spent with family and friends.

Hope is a newborn baby's cry
Hope is a Mother's lullaby.
Hope is the rainbow after a rain
Hope is the harvest of golden grain.

Hope is the light that keeps darkness at bay
Hope is the breeze on a hot summer day.
Hope is ever present and free of cost
Hope is the last thing ever lost.

Hope is the staying positive when the going gets rough
Hope is seeking help when you fell you've had enough.
Hope is recovery from simmering sorrow
Hope is believing in a brighter tomorrow.

Hello Diary, Have been busy preparing for winter.. had a visit by Jack Frost twice which means Ole Man Winter is around somewhere… 🙂

But in spite of life’s challenges, here on the path one still follows one’s dreams.. for one should “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” (Langston Hughes )….. 🙂

In history's pat on the path I had a dream
Of the world in harmony it did seem,
Accepting one as who they believe and are
One's life's choices, no one did bar.

Free to climb a mountain, to touch a star
Free to search the universe, where answers are,
Free to venture through life, with open eyes and mind
Another creatures belief, will not blind.

Free to boldly walk the lands, both far and near
All the while following ones dreams, without fear,
Not to be accepted by social ideology, you see
But the love, kindness, knowledge within, of a spirit born free.

Free, for one's humanity to embrace
Not being labeled by belief, gender or race,
free, for one's dignity not to be denied
Though there's many a mortal who has tried.

Here on the path it's not a dream, but a reality
To follow one's dream, with a open heart, you see,
Free to love another without fear, as it should be
For here on the path, one is born free.
       (Larry "Dutch" Woller)
“Every morning your have two choices: continue to sleep with your dreams, or wake up and chase them.” (Author Unknown)… 🙂 Well, I had better close for now.. have dreams to follow and leaves to gather..busy, busy, busy… 🙂 but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…. Until we meet again..
May flowers line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade you
every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
      (Irish Saying)

“Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.” (Henri Nouwen) on the path least traveled..

Winds of change...

I watched that heavy door begin to close,
All the while the winds above me rose.
The years whisper and whistle back into my ear,
The memories haunted by sorrows and fear.

With a new day if finally dawned on me,
The past needed locking and I had the key.
Leave it behind, leap and fly away free,
Let the winds of change blow and carry me.

Feel them lifting my wings now able to soar,
Up to an open sky and caged no more.
Flying so fast to where no hurt can find,
A place of peace now inhabits my mind.

This heart full of courage never ceases to beat,
Knowing my history is not destined to repeat.
Clear paths now lead me to a new destination,
For my life, my future and the next generation.
                      (Kelly Deschler)

Hello Diary,

Yes, Dairy, even here on the path change is in the winds… and, with all the uncertainties in life, and winter approaching, a decision were made to purchase a treadmill… 🙂

I am not training for the Iron Man’s competition so it is a relatively simple, in-expensive treadmill… now, to make it interesting and enjoy world’s scenery, I enlisted the aid of the laptop..

With the treadmill and laptop, I can have a leisurely “walk” anywhere in the world… Portobello Road, for example.. 🙂

Or perhaps I can walk among the markets and visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France… 🙂

Or, perhaps browse the mysteries of the Far East, visit the harbors of Singapore… 🙂

And why stop there?!.. I could walk upon the Moon, is it made of cheese?.. 🙂

And while there, I could visit the galaxies and walk among the stars!!.. 🙂

Of course, we need the proper choice of music to walk by… and it appears we only have 80 days so we best get walking feet… 🙂

Well, I had better close for now, need to find my walking shoes.. But I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

Be it a highway, street, path or trail, as you walk down
your road of life...

May the love that you give
 always return to you
That family and friends are many
And always remain true,
May your mind only know peace
No suffering or strife,
May you spirit know love and happiness
On your journey through life.
                (Larry "Dutch" Woller)

“Why is it we don’t always recognize the moment when love begins, but we always know when love ends, remember this, a kiss may not be the truth, but it is what we wish were true”… (L.A Story)….

To Love You..

To love you is to daydream of you often, think of you so much,
to speak of you proudly and miss you terribly when we are apart..
To love you is to cherish the warmth of your arms,
the sweetness of your kiss, the friendliness of your smile, the
loving sound of your voice and the happiness we share...
To love you is to never forget the adversity we have overcome,
the tears we have shed, the plans we have made, the problems
we have solved and the pain of seperation...
To love you is to remember joyfully the days we made memorable,
the moments that will live forever in our hearts, the dreams we
hoped for..
To love you is to feel the exhilaration of love that fills our hearts,
to need you, want you, hold you and know you as no one else can.
To love you is to realize that life without you would be no life at all..

Hello Diary,

Life is about many things, Diary, today it is about love on the path least traveled… 🙂

“You don’t love the person you can live with, you love the person you cannot live without” (Author Unknown)….. 🙂

A bouquet for you, my love
Each bloom has been chosen in hopes to convey,
Words straight from the heart
With my message of love this day.

With a red Carnation
To show how my heart aches for you,
Posies of Forget-Me-Nots
To show my love is true.

And fragrant Freesias
Embracing the trust we share,
With Lilies of the Valley
Returning happiness and care.

Daisies to show
My love is loyal-undivided,
As Phlox whispers softly
Our spirits are united.

I have added Primrose
To remind you again,
That I cannot live without you
And with you I shall remain.

And all about this bouquet
Are sprigs of Baby's Breath, sown,
So delicately displayed
With a message of their own.

So with this bouquet, my love
I shall eternally bestow,
A heartfelt message of love
That even these blooms seem to know.
               (Larry "Dutch" Woller)

I shall close for now… in spite of life’s challenges, love is in the air as I venture down the path…. But I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

There will be no falsehoods or lies for you, dear one
No meaningless empty words, cute or clever,
For I would rather you love me for a day
Than to hate me forever.

I finish this with a smile on my face
For I know one day we will meet again,
And again, together, we will follow our dreams
And that will be the beginning, not the end.
            (Larry "Dutch" Woller)

It is down the path least traveled I do go
To a rainbow filled horizon I  venture,
To seek, to learn, know peace, to enjoy life
A path filled with wonderful adventure.

A place where one is accepted as who they are
A spirit kindred to life, when mortal born,
A being coming from the depths within
And not subject to ridicule and scorn.

A place where I know freedom of thought and being
I am what I am, don’t you see,
Neither this one, neither that one, but all the above
In a mortal world, a free spirit, that’s me.

I do not travel the path alone, you see
There are memories and spirits to behold,
Spirits that share... the joy and sadness
As I gather more memories, down that least traveled road.

So how long will my journey be, one would ask
Will I see the end of the path...ever?
The answer, I believe, lies on the horizon
Somewhere past... the 12th of Never….

So shall bring my ramblings to an end
For there is one fact that I do know,
To reach the horizon, the 12th of Never
It’s down the path least traveled I must go!
      ( Larry “Dutch” Woller )

With eyes on the horizon, it is down the road I do venture, care to join me, my friend?… 🙂

Hello Diary, Took a brief break to deal with life’s challenges with pen…. received my ballot in the mail for voting in the general election…

Sit down with a spot of tea and pen in hand and made my thoughts known to the universe…. 🙂

I am not shackled to any ideology (religious, political or otherwise) “I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief” (Gerry Spence)… and I won’t say who I voted for but I did NOT vote for Donald Trump….. 🙂 Yes, again I woke up on the green side of the grass to a pleasant day with sunshine and a nice breeze and dreams to follow….

And in spite of life’s storms, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain” (Author Unknown), it is going to be a zip-a-dee-do-da day!… 🙂 Alas, I shall have to close, the day is calling…. but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂 Yes, with a spirit and heart born free, it is on down the path of life I travel… 🙂

“It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.” (Agnes M. Pharo) on the path least traveled…

I’m far richer than the rich
Wealthier than the wealthy by far,
I have gold in the sun
I have silver in the star.

I have dreams that I follow
That are more precious than gold,
As I venture through life
Eagerly watching the dreams unfold.

I have diamonds, too many to count
With each new fallen snow,
As I watch each one twinkle
Basking in the suns glow.

I have nature’s painting
Priceless, a portrait of the sky,
Impossible to duplicate
Though many did try.

Each bloom of the red rose
A ruby, one of a kind,
And with the white rose
A pearl comes to mind.

Money have I none
But wealth I have got,
But  I don’t fit in with
The wealthy and rich lot.

But I’m not going to change
A rich dreamer I’ll stay,
Till the rivers run dry
And the four winds blow away.

Most of my bird friends have went south
In the southern warmth they’ll stay
But I’ll not shed a tear in sorrow
For they’ll be back again some day

All us creatures that are staying behind
To deal with the cold and snow
Are getting our house in order
And waiting for winter’s blow

To insulate their winters nest
The possum is checking every nook and cranny
To find a place for his winters rest

Gathering nectar with the morning sun
Storing winter food for the hive

I watched as it grew and grew
Soon to become natures work of art
With tomorrow’s early morning dew

This poem could go on and on and on
But alas, I have things to do
For, like it or not, don’t you see
I need to get ready for winter too.

The changes of the seasons have a impact on the affairs of the heart also… 🙂 Life and the day is calling, will need to venture out and see what they want… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂 Until we meet again, may all your tomorrows be filled with love and happiness and keep a dream in your pocket…
