Hello Diary,

While fine tuning and adjusting to change, I took the time to browse the world, to gather knowledge of what were transpiring… to my dismay I find elements of today’s world societies filled with closed minded prejudice to those who seem different and simply trying to follow their dream, and rather than working together with wisdom and understanding, choose violence and conflict to settle differences and disputes…accomplishing little other than sowing the seeds of suffering, anger, fear… 🙂

May not make headlines or the news but by using today’s technology, there is much we can do and what we do may seem small at first glance, but “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” ( Mother Teresa) …  and there may be times when we feel like we are doing it alone, but as one, with love, understanding and patience,  we can work together to make a difference  and the world a better place for everyone.. “We may not have it all together but together we have it all” (Author Unknown)…  🙂

 

And hopefully in time everyone can have a garden like mine where they can be who they are, who they wish to be and follow their dreams without fear.. )

Hello Diary,

Had a active week, but for the weekend taking some time from the chores and projects to stop and smell the roses, perhaps visit folks and share some thoughts , perhaps listen to a song or two, maybe venture down memory lane thinking “ do you remember when”..  🙂

I know that over the past I have shared my thoughts and views about numerous subjects, while trying to work with others to help make this world a better place for everyone… and I am not just someone sharing thoughts who hasn’t been on the  “front lines” because I have.. I have witnessed the aftermath.. Take my views on war and conflict… I have witnessed what pain and suffering has caused because of closed minded ideologies choose conflict to settle issues… senseless conflicts with no good ending…  🙂

Here on the path the chosen weapons are the pen used with understanding and accepting another as who they are and wish to be… here on the path we live in harmony… 🙂 “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness, and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” (Audrey Hepburn).. 🙂 And I have shared my views and thoughts about dealing with the weather… have seen change and dealt with the change over the decades, dealt with tornadoes, winter blizzards, even now dealing with change as it may be the new normal perhaps…. for the last 20 years or so have shared with folks so that they can use that knowledge to work with others to deal with the change…. 🙂

Doing my part in many ways, example, I have my Kindle, not only good for a number of reasons, but no tree has to be sacrificed so I can enjoy a good book… 🙂

Even my mower is electric and therefore there are no gas emissions and reduces the need for fossil fuels… 🙂

The weather and climate may produce some challenges but as John Paul Jones said ‘I have yet begun to fight” and here on the path we have high hopes… 🙂 And I keep mentioning helping others.. One thing I do is three days a week I turn on the backup PC and open World Community Grid using the BOINC project to research cancer and leave it on for a few hours… 🙂

They download  data on my pc and use the pc to research the data about cancer in general and also children’s cancer… I am very familiar with cancer as about 11 years ago my late wife, Kathy, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer… she fought the brave fight (with me by her side) for 4 years using the technology and knowledge available but in the end she lost the battle but won the war...she left me with these words… 🙂

And with a heart filled with memories for when I grow to old to dream, I, and the heart, will go on…. 🙂 Yes, I have been there and done that, over the years dealt with conflict, climate, health issues and other life’s challenges, not just someone who speaks empty words and even though my mortal clock may be slowly winding down, will use that experience and the Pope’s advice and do what I can to help others make this a wonderful world for everyone… 🙂

Haven’t been online much the past few week, will have to make changes so I can visit folks and share some thoughts and memories… “Life gives us brief moments with another, but sometimes in those brief moments we get memories that last a lifetime, So live that your memories will be part of your happiness.” (Author Unknown)… 🙂

Had a busy week last week, preparing for the future, dealing with life’s challenges and doing so in such a manner as to not bring harm to others, perhaps doing what I can to help them follow their dreams…“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” (Stephen Grellet )..  🙂

Also had my yearly eye exam, will need a slight upgrade on my glasses.. apparently Covid is starting to make its presence known again so waiting for the vaccine (and the flu vaccine), also got out the mask to wear when I am in public places… I do not have a problem wearing the mask, compare it to wearing a rain coat for the rain, gloves for the cold weather, etc.. Same with the vaccine, as it is like taking medications for the cold, sinuses and other health issues, large and small… just making sure I am not a risk to myself and others…  🙂

 

 

As for the other world, sadly it seems there are elements of today’s societies who prefer to use the club to settle differences… “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom” (Isaac Asimov)…  I have a better idea…  🙂

Hello Diary,

On the mend here, weather pattern changing a bit so may be outdoors next week with my backyard friends, and also doing what I can to help make this world a better place for everyone.. There are those that ask me how come I am so positive in spite of all the negative and conflicts in the world… well, I just follow the example of folks like Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Theresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Marie Curie and others too numerous to mention as, in spite of obstacles put in their path, they followed their dream and in their way help bring this world to a better place…. Sooooooooooooooo,  I wake up every morning with a open mind and a heart full of hope, understanding and love and follow my dream…  🙂

 

In history’s past, on the path, I had a dream

Hello Diary,

Sitting here with a cup of Earl Grey and a biscuit, decided to take some time to share a few thoughts… have been busy here and not on the internet much except to help others…dealing with climate and weather elements (drought, heat and humidity) and more to come next week… air quality not the best either, especially those with sensitive issues like allergies, etc. like me… had a bit of cough and sneezing so went to the doctor to make sure I were not a danger to me or anyone else with all the health issues present.. all tests were negative and got the all clear… 🙂

Also keeping a watchful eye on and dealing with any impacts the present conflicts, at home and world wide, may have here on the path, “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom” (Isaac Asimov)… 🙂

But, I am not going to let the negatives of the world rule the day, I will not post gloom and doom but follow the dreams in my heart and perhaps a word or two from Kelly Deschler , the Seekers, Martin Heidegger, Wade Watts, Theodore Roosevelt , Frank Sinatra (and friends) and perhaps a few of mine…  🙂
