Dear Diary Page 61…
Hello Diary..
Got much accomplished over the past week, prepared for whatever Nature puts in the path least traveled…having said that, decided to get the meals prepared for the weekend and won’t have to cook the weekend, just the micro and the crockpot… will give me the weekend to “play by ear”, waiting till the morning wake up do decide what to do….
For tonight, opted for homemade chicken noodle soup and ham and cheese on toast….
Got that ready for the micro and toaster later.. started on supper for Valentines day…. pork roast and veggies…
Got the veggies ready (potatoes, carrots, celery and onion) and put in the crock pot with some Cream of Chicken soup;
Rubbed pepper, garlic and poultry seasoning into the roast, then browned lightly in the skillet…
Then put in the crock pot and it is ready for tomorrow, start it in the morning…..
While I were gathering up the ingredients and preparing for dealing with the roast and veggies, came across some ingredients for something I had not had in a long time, decided to fix some while I had the mess in the kitchen…
Got the ingredients put together and ready for the toaster oven..
After cooking in the toaster oven for about 20 minutes or so, took the food out to cool and what do I have, one would ask………. A corndog.. 😀
Sooooooooooooooo with preparations for winter made, supper put together for tonight and tomorrow night, the cooking mess cleaned up in the kitchen, all I need to do is listen to Yanni, watch the snow fall and contemplate what the tomorrows may bring.. 😀
Adding a Valentines day poem I wrote years back..
A bouquet of flowers from my garden,
Their beauty need not be told,
Their fragrance is soothing and lovely
A pleasant scent for one to behold.
They remind me of you, my love
Whose beauty from within you do share,
Sharing sunshine, understanding and laughter
Sowing the seeds of love and happiness in the air.
This bouquet was picked for you, my love
For coming into my world, my dear friend,
For giving sunshine, laughter, love and happiness
For which I know will never end.

And so it goes on the path least traveled…. will leave you now, Diary, venture on down the path and see what lies waiting around the bend… will return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…
