Changes are in the winds, especially among the choir as it is that time for them to move on to seek their destiny and share their harmony with others… 🙂

 

Hello Diary,

Change is also in the climate, where today it feels more like being in the Amazon… it may not be fit for “man nor beast” but the hibiscus is loving it!!…  🙂

 

But life does go on, so taking the time to do some needed sorting in the home… while doing so came across some items that signified change… in 1998 at Christmas time Wal-Mart had computer packages on sale (Packard Bell tower, monitor and keyboard) so we purchased one, our first entry into cyber space, internet were dial-up over phone line…  I remember the salesman saying it had 10 MG of memory/storage and that would be all we needed… it looked like the PC in the picture…  🙂

 

I still use the speakers…the reason the I had thought of the old computer were when I were sorting, I came across the old printer… 🙂

Now, all it would do were print black and white or color, one could not copy or edit.. it were noisy and if one had to print multiple pages, it would shake and a dance around on the desk… I also found our first laptop.. it were a Dell and it had 124 MG of memory/storage and weighed 15 pounds.. one did not want to carry it around all day… 🙂

And finally, I came across our first mobile phone… it were a Motorola Meteor (sometimes referred to as a “bag phone”… 🙂

One still had to use a dial up to call, connection were sometimes iffy, could only talk and when on the road one kept it charged up by plugging into the cigarette lighter of the auto, technology were still in infancy of sorts, but having a mobile phone was starting to gain interest as peoples daily lives were changing… 🙂

With today's technology, there is hope here on the path that everyone will be able to communicate better world over, have a better understanding of each other and work together in harmony in order to have the planet Earth a better place…  🙂

HOPE IS

Hello Diary,

Thought I would stop in briefly and share a few thoughts, have been away from the world of cyberspace for a few days, had some technical issues to deal with, but managed to overcome.. 🙂

While I were away from cyberspace, I saw that the USA were leaving Afghanistan and life there were back in turmoil , little has changed.. 🙂

Another example of elements of the world’s societies unable to reach a middle ground, compromise through understanding and chose, instead, conflict to settle issues.. and in the end, all that were accomplished were sowing the seeds of hate, anger, suffering and despair… 🙂

 

Now, I will be the first to admit that I am not “the sharpest tack in the box”, but I have a suggestion… 🙂

I set here looking at the news
The powers wanted peace they say,
And while they spoke, bombs were dropped
20 children died that day!

What’s wrong with this idea?
Why not give PEACE a try,
Let’s give it a go, everyone
Maybe no more children will die 

Smiles on their faces, while shaking hands
Arms deals for defense would come into play,
A bomb went off in a crowded market

Hello Diary,

Stopping the world briefly to share a few thoughts.. unlike those unfortunate folks on the West Coast, rain (and storms) has been the story here on the prairies.. so it has been a bit hectic venturing outdoors, but not to be beaten.. neither virus, weather or ideologies will prevent us here on the path to follow our dream, to enjoy the day and adventures… 🙂

 

 

For walking, we have our trusty nothing fancy treadmill.. 🙂

And we utilize technology (turning a old pc into a stereo, unable to get online with it)… 🙂

Turn on the music (or I can use the new PC and visit friends), get on the ole treadmill and start walking.. Wonder how long for me to walk around the world, 80 days perhaps?… 🙂 When I am not walking, during unsettled weather like today, helping the weather service help others using technology and not leaving the backyard… so I venture out into the backyard and look on the horizon and I see a cloud formation, with a cloud rising out of the base like a chimney (center of picture)… 🙂

I look in another direction and see a cloud base with one cloud rising in the center (looking like a chimney, and another cloud on either side… 🙂

Those clouds are known as a “towering cumulus” and they indicate a unstable airmass, add to that sunshine, hot temperatures and a bit of wind  and one has  a invitation to thunderstorms.. so if one would happen to be out on a picnic or taking a walk and one would happen to see clouds similar, perhaps one might wish to stay aware of possible changes in the weather, and it could be rapid…  🙂

Again I use technology to gather knowledge “Any piece of knowledge I acquire today has a value at this moment exactly proportioned to my skill to deal with it. Tomorrow, when I know more, I will recall that piece of knowledge and use it better. “ (Mark van Doren )… and send what I have observed to the National Weather Service so they and use that information for any possible watches and warnings…

 

What happens here on the path when one is outdoors and one suddenly hears the rumble of thunder, one would ask… the pace picks up and I believe Yanni says it best… 🙂

Well, I had better close for now… finish the day and prepare for possible storms later… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

It has been a hectic week, dealing with appointments, life’s challenges, weather, etc… may see some more weather later today, so taking this moment to share a few thoughts… difficult to remain positive but positive we are here on the path as we woke up to cloudy and somewhat foggy morning… 🙂

And after a hectic week, decided to make today a relaxing day… believe the furry little knucklehead, the squirrel, is setting the pace for everyone here on the path least traveled.. 🙂

So, with some relaxing music … 🙂 And a spot of wine… 🙂
And perhaps later get out the Kindle.. 🙂

Will enjoy the day and the new adventures, because it will not come again… 🙂

And with the storms, virus, etc. are we happy, one would ask? Yes, indeed because we woke up on the green side of the grass with a heart full of memories and knowing that as long as I have a open mind and follow my heart,  there are more adventures waiting and memories to be made… 🙂

Yes, everyone were born equal but it seems there are elements of today’s USA society (and world’s societies) that have either not read those words, do not understand or the words “went in one ear and out the other”….  Not so here on the path as my friends and I have a the same dream as those who penned the Declaration of Independence… 🙂

It is a peaceful Sunday morning here on the path and while I ventured out to gather weather data I were serenaded by my backyard friends…. 🙂

 

It is a holiday Sunday here on the prairies but a quiet day planned here on the path, while sipping on a cup of tea… 🙂

And while gazing on the horizon (looking south from my backyard)…. 🙂

Will contemplate the tomorrows… 🙂

A quiet Sunday morning to wake up to
Sitting, gazing out, with a spot of tea,
Contemplating today and my tomorrows
Wondering, what will the future might  be.
