It is a wonderful world indeed here on the path… 🙂 It is Saturday morning, taking a break in the activities to share a few thoughts… change is continuing here on the path.. Woke up the other morning a saw my neighbors roof were white..

Had a heavy enough frost to appear to be snow… and speaking of snow, saw a few white cumulus clouds with what appears to be vapor hanging below them… it is what is referred to as “virga”, falling moisture that evaporates before reaching the ground.. and with the cold atmosphere in this particular instance, it is “snow”… 🙂

Yes, Ole Man Winter is here to stay for a time… most of my bird friends have left for a warmer climate, those passing through stopping at the feeder for a needed dinner…

And those knuckleheaded backyard rodents called squirrels stay here and keep me company through the winter… 🙂

And I try to help those passing through and those that stay get through the winter doldrums “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” (Maya Angelou)…… 🙂

 The squirrels are gathering leaves and such

Yes, it is that time of year when it is time to say goodbye to all my backyard friends ( and all friends) who spent the summer here on the path and have moved on in search of their destinies…. 🙂 And I must close for now, life is calling and I need to see what it wants… 🙂 but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… I never say goodbye because goodbye sounds too much like forever, so until we meet again.. 🙂

Hello Diary, Taking a brief break with a busy week, stopping briefly to share some thoughts… change is in the winds in many ways in today’s world and one of those changes is the seasons… and it is that time of year where I participate in one of my least favorite outdoor activities…. 🙂

The sad part is most of the leaves belong to my neighbor and my neighbor is in the process of moving to another town.. Sniffffffffffffff 😦 but will deal with the leaves and enjoy the day in the garden and backyard here on the path… 🙂
 
 I live in a not so secret garden
 Along the path least traveled,
 Quite unlike the other world
 A world that has become unraveled.
  
 A garden of peace and harmony
 Being different does not matter here,
 All creatures, big and small, living together
 Unlike the other world,  they do not live in fear.

 If "different" is just a thing.

Hello Diary, Have been busy preparing for winter.. had a visit by Jack Frost twice which means Ole Man Winter is around somewhere… 🙂

But in spite of life’s challenges, here on the path one still follows one’s dreams.. for one should “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” (Langston Hughes )….. 🙂

Winds of change...

I watched that heavy door  begin to close,
All the while the winds above me rose.

Hello Diary,

 

Yes, Dairy, even here on the path change is in the winds… and, with all the uncertainties in life, and winter approaching, a decision were made to purchase a treadmill… 🙂

 

 

I am not training for the Iron Man’s competition so it is a relatively simple, in-expensive treadmill… now, to make it interesting and enjoy world’s scenery, I enlisted the aid of the laptop..

 

 

With the treadmill and laptop, I can have a leisurely “walk” anywhere in the world… Portobello Road, for example.. 🙂

 

 

Or perhaps I can walk among the markets and visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France… 🙂

 

 

Or, perhaps browse the mysteries of the Far East, visit the harbors of Singapore… 🙂

 

 

And why stop there?!.. I could walk upon the Moon, is it made of cheese?.. 🙂

 

 

And while there, I could visit the galaxies and walk among the stars!!.. 🙂

 

 

Of course, we need the proper choice of music to walk by… and it appears we only have 80 days so we best get walking feet… 🙂

 

 

Well, I had better close for now, need to find my walking shoes.. But I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

I watched that heavy door begin to close….

Change is in the winds and it seems that WordPress has changed also… not overly sure that I like it… that being said, it will take some time to learn how to use the new editor, if I ever do.. 🙂  that being said, with all other life’s challenge’s it may take some time for me to return… but you will be in my thoughts and heart till the rivers run dry and the four winds they all blow away… 🙂

The other path less traveled, mysterious and unknown

Where one can be different, like me I confess,

Without fear of ridicule, bigotry  and hate

A path filled with love… and happiness.

A path where one can follow ones dreams

An open mind to see what others do not,

To live a life guided by one’s heart

While the other path one cannot.

Decision made, with eyes on the horizon

It’s down the path least traveled I do venture,

Excitement fills the air, a smile on the face

Looking forward to a great adventure.

My fate will be unknown, what lies ahead unsure

I do not know…. what my destiny will be,

But one thing will be certain, written in stone

I shall venture down that path …..being “ME“.

Hello Diary,

With the possibility of heat and humidity in the near future, spent the week busy preparing for the heat wave… 🙂

me dusting...

But even with dealing with life’s challenges and the weather, one needs to pause… to smell the roses and contemplate when the time is right..

To climb a mountain
To fly a plane,
To hug a friend
To run naked in the rain.

To stand up tall
To make your thoughts known,
To blend with a crowd
To go it alone.

To till the field
To sow the seeds of peace and more,
To pen a poem of love
To write a musical score.

To take this path
To maybe take the other,
To open ones heart
To share it with another.

Today, tomorrow perhaps?
The answer is in the heart, you see,
So when is the right time, one asks?

Yes, not only the heart but time itself… 🙂

And the weekend will be the right time to relax, browse memories and contemplate the tomorrows and when that is done, open the trusty Kindle… 🙂
