Hello Diary,

Thought I would briefly stop my venture down the path and share a few thoughts.. it has been a rainy, foggy and thundery past few days and add to that the negativity of today’s world and it does make for a gloomy day indeed… a day when doubt starts to creep in and has one wondering if one is doing enough to help make a better world, is it all worth the effort…  🙂

 

And while sitting here with a cup of tea other thoughts come to mind… like last spring when two young deer made a rare appearance on the path (one under the tree, the other near the flag pole)… were they telling me not to give up the ship?.. 🙂

And then there is Mr. Possum, doesn’t say much, quietly goes about his business and leaving everyone else alone, is he telling me to keep up the needed work?… 🙂

And then there are my friends, the birds, who greet me with a song every day…if I stopped would I no longer hear their lovely melody?.. 🙂

And, of course, there is the backyard’s furry tailed knucklehead, Mr. Squirrel, who lives each day like it may be his last..don’t believe he has an opinion, one way or the other… 🙂

There are the people of the world who I have been working with to help make this world a better place, don’t believe it would be right to leave them now, would it?… 🙂

There is the wonderful children of the world, whose minds have not yet been polluted by social ideologies “To me there is no picture so beautiful as smiling, bright-eyed, happy children; no music so sweet as their clear and ringing laughter.” ( P. T. Barnum)… if I stopped would it be the end of their dreams?… 🙂

And there are my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Kayla & Mackenzie, twins), I helped bring them into this world, cannot turn my back on them now… 🙂

And the words of Theodore Roosevelt came to mind;  🙂

Sooooooooooo, I toss doubt to the winds, put away the white flag and I decide to follow the example of Mr. Ant and Mr. Ram… 🙂 And if progress is slow today, well, as Annie said, there is always tomorrow… 🙂 And when my mortal days are over, they can say with certainty, that even with life’s challenges, he not only talked the talk, he also walked the walk… 🙂
Well, I had better quit rambling for now, there is much to do, many dreams to help save  “We may not have it all together but together we have it all” (Author Unknown), and many adventures lie ahead, but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

  1. You have quite a menagerie of animals out in your neck of the woods! We have a possum who live under our house. He’s welcome and has stayed with us through the winter. And we have a skunk who likes to run around the shop at night trying to snag cat food we have out for the cats. Your two little great grands are so precious 💞💕 their smiles spread joy to all!

  2. That is a lovely picture of the two little twins!
    PT Barnum was so right to say that “there is no picture so beautiful as smiling, bright-eyed, happy children”.
    I think it is an element of Judaism that little children are as close to God as we humans ever get. Then gradually, as we get older, we begin to lose our God- like goodness, as our characters become less and less divine (unfortunately).
    And don’t give up! It looks like a lot of birds owe their lives to you, and you can’t stop helping them now!
