“I  am what and who I am, venturing down the path of life, following my dreams and my heart and leaving safe harbor with sails set full, to boldly go where I have not been before”… (Larry “Dutch” Woller) on the path least traveled….

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I  do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” ,  no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life  🙂 ).. 🙂

Hello Diary,

It has been a hectic week, dealing with life’s challenges and the weather, not to mention the chores and the laundry…  but I have not raised the white flag as I continue on down the path…  “No road is too long for him who advances slowly and does not hurry, and no attainment is beyond his reach who equips himself with patience to achieve it.” (Jean de La Bruyere )… 🙂

I am, however, declaring today a holiday, stopping the world briefly and getting off to share a few thoughts… in the past I have shared myself relaxing while gazing out a window… 🙂

Today I will share some views I have seen gazing out the window as I contemplate the tomorrows while contemplating who am I.. 🙂 As I look out the window I gaze on the horizon with wonder.. “Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow them.” (Louisa May Alcott).. 🙂

Possible storms on the horizon?.. “I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” (Louisa May Alcott)…. 🙂

Quiet morning on the prairie and “Every morning your have two choices: continue to sleep with your dreams, or wake up and chase them.” (Author Unknown) and I choose to chase them… 🙂
A quiet evening, a time to put today’s adventures to rest and contemplate hope for tomorrow.. “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul – and sings the tunes without the words – and never stops at all.” (Emily Dickinson).. 🙂

Contrails left by man and man’s flying machine… seeking out their destiny as their paths cross in the sky…

To storm or not to storm.. “Red sky in the morning, sailors warning, red sky at night, sailors delight”… “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. (Author Unknown)… 🙂

These are some visions I see as I contemplate my destiny… 🙂

Who am I, one wonders
Whether it is race, gender or ideology,
As I venture down life’s path
As a spirit that is born free..

Wondering about being different
Reminds me of words from a song,
Where do I fit in, one would ask
One wonders, where do I belong.

Does the image without
Determine who I am to be,
Even though the spirit within
May be different, be me.

Do I follow my heart’s dream
When heart and mind disagree,
Or do I listen to the mind
While dealing with reality.

Those questions and more
Life’s puzzle to unravel,
To find answers I am seeking
Down the path I must travel.

So I shall continue down the path least traveled
To seek that rainbow, perhaps around the next bend,
Once found, I’ll have my answers
And that will be the beginning, not the end.
    (Larry “Dutch” Woller)
It is all a part of the path and it is a wonderful world indeed!!.. 🙂
With that being said, I shall close for now as the path is calling me.. 🙂

It is down the path least traveled I do go
To a rainbow filled horizon I venture,
To seek, to learn, know peace, to enjoy life
A path filled with wonderful adventure.

A place where one is accepted as who they are
A spirit kindred to life, when mortal born,
A being coming from the depths within
And not subject to ridicule and scorn.

A place where I know freedom of thought and being
I am what I am, don’t you see,
Neither this one, neither that one, but all the above
In a mortal world, a free spirit, that’s me.

I do not travel the path alone, you see
There are memories and spirits to behold,
Spirits that share... the joy and sadness
As I gather more memories, down that least traveled road.

So how long will my journey be, one would ask
Will I see the end of the path...ever?
The answer, I believe, lies on the horizon
Somewhere past... the 12th of Never….

So shall bring my ramblings to an end
For there is one fact that I do know,
To reach the horizon, the 12th of Never
It’s down the path least traveled I must go!
      ( Larry “Dutch” Woller )

And though life may put challenges in my path, there may be dark days as well and sunny days and at times a uphill climb, with a heart filled with memories and friends along the way, I will never walk the path alone…. 🙂
But I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise and until we meet again… 🙂

May the love that you give
Always return to you,
That family and friends are many
And always remain true,
May your mind only know peace
No suffering or strife,
May your heart only know love and happiness
On your journey through life.
     (Larry “Dutch” Woller)
Whatever path you choose, may it be filled with peace, love and happiness and life is all that you wish for it to be.. 🙂
