“I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” (Louisa May Alcott) on the path least traveled…

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I  do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” ,  no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life  🙂 ).. 🙂

Hello Diary,

Stopping the world briefly to share a few thoughts.. unlike those unfortunate folks on the West Coast, rain (and storms) has been the story here on the prairies.. so it has been a bit hectic venturing outdoors, but not to be beaten.. neither virus, weather or ideologies will prevent us here on the path to follow our dream, to enjoy the day and adventures… 🙂

For walking, we have our trusty nothing fancy treadmill.. 🙂

And we utilize technology (turning a old pc into a stereo, unable to get online with it)… 🙂

Turn on the music (or I can use the new PC and visit friends), get on the ole treadmill and start walking.. Wonder how long for me to walk around the world, 80 days perhaps?… 🙂 When I am not walking, during unsettled weather like today, helping the weather service help others using technology and not leaving the backyard… so I venture out into the backyard and look on the horizon and I see a cloud formation, with a cloud rising out of the base like a chimney (center of picture)… 🙂

I look in another direction and see a cloud base with one cloud rising in the center (looking like a chimney, and another cloud on either side… 🙂

Those clouds are known as a “towering cumulus” and they indicate a unstable airmass, add to that sunshine, hot temperatures and a bit of wind  and one has  a invitation to thunderstorms.. so if one would happen to be out on a picnic or taking a walk and one would happen to see clouds similar, perhaps one might wish to stay aware of possible changes in the weather, and it could be rapid…  🙂

Again I use technology to gather knowledge “Any piece of knowledge I acquire today has a value at this moment exactly proportioned to my skill to deal with it. Tomorrow, when I know more, I will recall that piece of knowledge and use it better. “ (Mark van Doren )… and send what I have observed to the National Weather Service so they and use that information for any possible watches and warnings…

What happens here on the path when one is outdoors and one suddenly hears the rumble of thunder, one would ask… the pace picks up and I believe Yanni says it best… 🙂

Well, I had better close for now… finish the day and prepare for possible storms later… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

Until we meet again…

May the love that you give
Always return to you,
That family and friends are many
And always remain true,
May your mind only know peace
No suffering or strife,
May your spirit only know love and happiness
On your journey through life.

  1. I used to have a rowing machine and one thing that kept me using it was the distance travelled counter. Something like 3,800 kilometres until I realised it had taken me more than three years and that it was was a very strange thing to be doing.

    • Thank you for stopping by!.. I turn the counter off, just have a relaxing walk, listening to music, etc. and stopping when I am done… 🙂

Hope all is well in your part of the universe and until we meet again..

  2. You look for shapes in the clouds like I do! I hope the weather settles so you can get out a little more. It seems lots of places around the world are being besieged by rain and storms and floods lately.

Have a wonderful weekend & take good care of yourself! 🙏

    • Thank you for stopping by!.. yes, I do gaze about to see what all is happening here on the path… believe that change is in the winds with the climate and may have to get use to it… but “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. (Author Unknown)… 🙂

      Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
      and sunshine light your way,
      May songbirds serenade your
      every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
