“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” (Michel Angelo) on the path least traveled..

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I  do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” ,  no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life  🙂 ).. 🙂

Hello Diary,

What a week this has been so far…. If one ventures out and lives life one finds many adventures and surprises and so far this week has been just that!… Soooooo, today I thought I would do a before and after… 🙂

Before, Monday 4-19-2021; I woke up Monday morning to a pleasant day and as I ventured out to check the weather instruments (still somewhat dark outdoors) I were greeted by my choir in full voice… 🙂

Once it got light outdoors and it were a pleasant 69F degrees, and keeping a watchful eye on the weeks weather forecast, I decided to mow.. Got the yardwork finished for the day… 🙂

After, Tuesday 4-20-2021; Tuesday morning I woke up wondering what the day would bring, I soon got my answer…. There were no choir greeting me, all I would see when I ventured out were…wait for it……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. SNOW!! 😦

BUT, no white flag here, just prepare for life’s challenges… 🙂

And it is down the path least traveled I shall go.. 🙂

It is down the path least traveled I shall go
To a rainbow filled horizon I venture,
To seek, to learn, know peace, to enjoy life
A path filled with wonderful adventure.

A place where one is accepted as who they are
A spirit kindled to life, when mortal born,
A being coming from the depths within
And not subject to ridicule and scorn.

A place where I know freedom of thought and being
I am what I am, don’t you see,
Neither this one, neither that one, but all the above
In a mortal world, a free spirit, that’s me.

I do not travel the path alone, you see
There are memories and spirits to behold,
Those that share... the joy and sadness
As I gather more memories, down that least traveled road.

So how long will my journey be, one would ask
Will I see the end of the path...ever?
The answer, I believe, lies on the horizon
Somewhere past... the 12th of Never….

So I shall bring my ramblings to an end
For there is one fact that I do know,
To reach the horizon, the 12th of Never
It’s down the path least traveled I must go!
      ( Larry “Dutch” Woller )

Just color me unsinkable… 🙂

Well, I has better close for now, more challenges and adventures await and more memories to gather for another day…but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…. 🙂

And as I venture down the path I meet a lot of wonderful people, all unique and beautiful in their own way, to make more memories.. “Life gives us brief moments with another, but sometimes in those brief moments we get memories that last a lifetime, So live that your memories will be part of your happiness.” (Author Unknown)…. 🙂

Thanks for the memories, which occupy my heart for when I grow to old to dream… 🙂

    • Thank you for stopping by and glad you enjoyed your visit!… got around a inch of snow here, mostly gone now… definitely had the early gardeners out trying to protect their plants…. 🙂

      Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
      and sunshine light your way,
      May songbirds serenade your
      every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

  1. Crazy weather, indeed! We’ve had it in reverse here in West Los Angeles. On Sunday, April 18, outdoor temperatures rose to a high of 90 degrees, far above the Saturday high of 63 degrees. I decided it was best not to do my usual gardening. Now we’re back to temperatures in the sixties.

    • Thank you for stopping by!!.. yes, change is in the winds on all fronts…believe the “old” normal is history, will be interesting to see what the “new” normal will be…. 🙂

      Until we meet again..
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
May green be the grass you walk on
May blue be the skies above you
May pure be the joys that surround you
May true be the hearts that love you.

  2. We, too, had that crazy change in weather and I woke this morning to 2″ of snow that was all melted by noon! Next week is supposed to hit 80°. Yes, we are each different in our own way, and that is what makes the world an interesting place. I had no idea that Bea Arthur sang! I only recall her from the Golden Girls … but she’s quite a good singer! Thanks for the smiles, and I love your poem!

    • Thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed your visit!… change is in the winds with all matters and believe the “normal” we all knew is history… 🙂

      Until we meet again..
      May your troubles be less
      Your blessings be more
      And nothing but happiness
      Come through your door

  3. The dawn chorus was really interesting. To me the birds were all singing a lot quicker and more urgently than the birds do here in England. Our loudest voice is the blackbird which is the equivalent of your American Robin, but not as brightly coloured.

    • Thank you for stopping by!.. perhaps the birds knew there were winter weather coming..very quiet since the snow, perhaps they went back south… 🙂

Hope all is well in your part of the universe and life is all that you wish for it to be… 🙂
