“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” (Stephen Grellet ) on the path least traveled….

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy

In history’s past, on the path, I had a dream
Of a world in harmony it did seem,
Accepting one as to who they believe and are
One’s life’s choices no one did bar.

Free to climb a mountain, to touch a star
Free to search the universe, where answers are,
Free to venture through life, with open mind
Another’s belief, it did not blind.

Free to boldly walk the lands, both far and near
To lives one’s life without suffering or fear,
Not to be accepted by belief, gender or race, you see
But by the love, understanding and knowledge of a spirit born free.

Children could follow their own dream, you see
Not to be denied by another’s ideology,
To follow the destiny of their own choice
Not to be hindered by another’s voice.

I still have that dream, you know
A dream that began a long time ago,
A dream without end, each and every day
Until the four winds, they all blow away.
                   (Larry “Dutch” Woller)

And somewhere on the other side of that ole rainbow is that dream… 🙂

Hello Diary,

Taking a break from following the dream to share a few thoughts… while on the path of life seeking my destiny, I have not forgotten others, so, though it may not be much,  hopefully I can help someone follow their dream… 🙂

Lassies and lads, University of Illinois.. “Any piece of knowledge I acquire today has a value at this moment exactly proportioned to my skill to deal with it. Tomorrow, when I know more, I will recall that piece of knowledge and use it better. “ (Mark van Doren )… 🙂

 So tell me , fate
 You hold the key,
 What is my destiny
 Suppose to be?

Lymphoma Action, U.K. … “No matter the pain or suffering, it is always better if it’s a burden shared by two, instead of a weight carried by one alone”… (Larry “Dutch” Woller).. 🙂

 Can no longer build cities
The back is tired and sore,
 I was a soldier once
No longer have the heart for war.

Climate change.. “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom” (Isaac Asimov)… 🙂

 So tell me, fate
 You hold the key,
 What is my destiny
 Suppose to be?

Project WHY, New Delhi India.. “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” ( Mother Teresa) ….. 🙂

I’ve tilled the soil as a farmer
Fed the world is what they say,
But I see the faces of hunger
 Still this very day.

For the hungry.. “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist.” (Helder Camara)..… 🙂

 So tell me, fate
 You hold the key,
 What is my destiny
 Suppose to be?

Cunningham Children’ home…“To me there is no picture so beautiful as smiling, bright-eyed, happy children; no music so sweet as their clear and ringing laughter.” (P. T. Barnum)… 🙂

 I’ve donated time and money
 Ask for nothing in return,
 I see nothing has changed
 Will they ever learn?

Unicef…“The only wealth which you will keep forever is the wealth you have given away.” (Marcus Aurelius)… 🙂

 So tell me, fate
 You hold the key,
 What is my destiny
 Suppose to be?

St. Jude Children’s Hospital…“The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.” (Frederick Buechner)… 🙂

I’ve tilled the fields and went to war
Help build cities, bridges and much more,
Has my destiny run it’s course
  Fate, is there any more?
                  (Larry “Dutch” Woller)

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” (Barack Obama )… 🙂

Yes, it is on down the path I must venture, to seek out Fate… so I will close for now, but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise.. 🙂

It is a new year, new adventures..care to join me… 🙂

  1. Your generosity and kindness is, as cliche as it sounds, incredibly inspiring. This is a perfectly timed post too, as I’ve been so angry with what’s happening in the world, with our government here in the UK and the way they’re treating people. A little more kindness would go a long way. It’s easy to feel discouraged and disheartening with it all. This is a beautiful post with some wonderful quotes. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🤗

    • Thank you for stopping by and kind words!.. I believe that if everyone would give a little, a few would not have to give a lot and everyone can follow their dream!.. 🙂

      Until we meet again..
May the sun shine all day long
Everything go right, nothing go wrong
May those you love bring love back to you
May all the wishes you wish come true
      May peace be within you
      May your heart be strong
May you find whatever you’re seeking
      Wherever you may roam
