“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” (Langston Hughes) on the path least traveled…

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂 Me 1 copy

Life Is Now….

 Time flies, and memories fade.
People change and new friendships are made.
Only the true remain forever at our side.
Eventually the disappointment and pain will subside.

It is all about the journey and what has yet to come.
Life is what you make of it; you are what you've become.
Life is too short to hold onto regrets.
Forgiveness is key even though you may never forget.

Cherish the good and remove the bad.
Some people don't realize till it's gone what they've had.
Moving on is a way of life.
There will always be obstacles, pain, and strife.

You must believe that you are strong enough to fight.
You have to believe in yourself to do what is right.
Always do for YOU no matter what you do,
Because in the end the only one who has your back is you.

Never be afraid to take a stand,
And always be willing to lend a helping hand.
A little bit goes a long way.
All it takes is a smile to brighten someone's day.

Your chance to live is now, so what are you waiting for?
The world is yours for the taking and so much more.
Endless possibilities are forever at your disposal.
The chance to live another day is life's golden proposal.

Never let anyone tear you down,
And never let anyone steal your shine and make you frown.
So will you sit in the shadows and let darkness win again?
Or will you rise up and make the light your friend?

Hello Diary,

The New Year has arrived and  I am baaaaaaaaaack (is that groaning I hear?.. 🙂 ), for now anyway…:)  when it came to the weather, the new year did not start very well… 🙂

On New Years Day Ole Man Winter gave us some ice… 🙂

And on this Sunday Morning, Ole Man Winter gave us some snow.. 🙂

But no “white flag” here, because it is a new year and in spite of life’s challenges, a opportunity to follow one’s dreams for “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” (Maria Robinson )… 🙂

Of course, the holidays bring back memories and one memory came to my mind was during the time I grew up on the farm in the 1940’s, ‘50’s and early ‘60’s… Mom would always make homemade bread and being the oldest, I was volunteered to help.. well, I decided I was going to have homemade bread this Christmas… 🙂

So I gathered the ingredients… 🙂

Made the dough and let set for the oven… 🙂

Put it in the oven, in this case the convection/toaster oven… 🙂

And when done, Voila!… ready for butter!… 🙂

While I were waiting for the bread to finish, I prepared for the coming year… for in spite of any storms may occur, life will go on because “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. (Author Unknown), so got the ole treadmill at the ready.. 🙂

Also got the schoolroom (learning Spanish)/meditation area set up…why learn Spanish?.. well, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” (Mahatma Gandhi)… 🙂

With the new near I am preparing for new adventures, so with sails set full, safe harbor fading in the distance, becoming a faint glow, it is on down the path least traveled I shall venture, with open mind and heart, because I am..

Will close for now, much to do to prepare for the new year, but I shall
return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

And I finish this with a smile on my face
For I know one day we’ll meet again,
And again, together we will follow our dreams
For it will be a new beginning, not the end.

So whatever path or trail you choose…. 🙂

May flowers always line your path
