“I am free born and free bred, where I acknowledge no man as my superior, except for his own worth, or as my inferior, except for his own demerit.” (Theodore Roosevelt) on the path least traveled…

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )..

Yes, in today’s world, with all life’s challenges, it is difficult to follow one’s heart, to realize one’s dreams, to be different, to be themselves… but one will not know happiness trying to be like someone else “It is not easy to find happiness within ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere.” (Agnes Repplier )… 🙂

Soooooooooo, one can color me different… 🙂

While sipping a spot of tea
And relaxing in the morning time,
While contemplating my tomorrows
Thought I’d pen some thoughts that rhyme.

As I venture through my life
With each step, all the while being me,
An open mind, a heart of dreams
A spirit, enjoying being free.

A spirit that views another
As another feels, wishes to be,
In a realm of acceptance
So another can enjoy being free.

Free…. to love another
No color, gender or race,
Only to know and feel happiness
No social walls to face.

Free to live life as one chooses
Follow a dream, the heart would say,
Free to walk ones own path of life
Filled with adventures along the way.

There are those who would color me different
Many to gaze upon me with dismay,
But unlike them, I’ve found happiness
Because I chose to live life my way.

Hello Diary…

Like the world, all beings (plant and animal) here on the path different in its own way… making its journey down life’s path to its final destiny doing things their way… and there are those in the world outside the path that would look upon some of those beings with ridicule and contempt simply because they are different… with the coming of spring, some of those beings are making their presence known, thought I would share some photos…

One such being (who in some circles are considered pests) who were keeping a wary eye on me while he were having a bite of lunch was Mr. Squirrel…

wary squirrel

One such plant that is often ridiculed and thought of as a nuisance is the little wild viola… here is a field of blue…

blue violas

And a field of white…

white violas

And the start of a pink variety…

pink violas

They are wild, I did not plant them, and here on the path they are welcomed and thought highly of!.. 🙂

And as I have said before, here on the path, being different is a blessing, not a curse….

How are we so “different”?
If “different” is just a thing.
If we all have certain features,
What does “different” bring?

People filled with hatred,
Can’t possibly see,
That there’s not really “differences”
Between you and me.

Looks can’t show “difference”,
If they’re just there to be seen.
If you don’t look like someone else,
Why are they so mean?

If being “different” is what is wrong,
I’d rather not be right.
And I’d want to finish living,
Doing the “different” fight.
(Vincent Tabatha)

Yes, Diary, here on the path everything is beautiful in its own way….

Well Diary, I had better close for now.. Excitement is in the air as new adventures are on the horizon lie waiting for me…but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

Yes, Diary, I shall follow my heart…

So my heart’s compass is pointed to the horizon for there lies my dreams
Sails set full, safe harbor fading in the distance, a faint glow to eye it seems,
And with a heart full of memories, one day I will no longer roam
When I finally meet my destiny, and end the long journey home.
