Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂
( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )
Not only is it the season of giving, but also the season for memories, not only to share the old but to make new..
As Christmas Day approaches
One contemplates not the day,
But all the years of memories and thoughts
That one, with family and friends, acquired along the way.
Memories filled with sadness, sorrow perhaps
Memories with happiness, joy and without fear,
Memories to bring out the laughter
memories to bring out a tear.
A special day and one to treasure
And not because of the calendar age,
Because the book of memories and thoughts
Will be adding another page!
Even though a distance and time apart
It will be a day that we all will share,
For our love and understanding knows no time or distance
Be assured, if only in spirit, I will be there!
It will become our memory, and we will share
Today, and every day…… forever,
Because of our free spirit eternal
Beyond…………. the 12th of Never!!

Hello Diary,
Busy with preparations for the holiday and coming new year… Ole Man Winter visited the weekend and left his calling card… 🙂
Will Ole Man Winter visit on Christmas Day, one wonders.. or will Santa have to fine another mode of transportation than his sleigh… 🙂 and speaking of Santa, unwrapped a present early…
It is a solar charger for my phone… were going to wait till Christmas but with the unpredictable weather, decided to get it up and running and have it on standby… and while watching it snow, I contemplated the different scenarios for Christmas, here is one… 🙂
Twas the night before Christmas
All quiet around the tree,
Not a creature were stirring
I were dreaming about the lottery.
No stockings were hung with care
I needed them…you know,
They keep my feet warm
While I am out shoveling snow.
Cookies and milk were set out for Santa
Just before I went to bed,
Unfortunately Santa didn’t get a crumb
The mouse ate them instead.
There were only one package
A large envelope under the tree,
It was seasons greetings
From the power company.
But I jumped out of bed
And I shouted with glee,
Why were I happy, one wonders
I woke up on the green side of the grass, you see.

Well, I had better close for now, much to do before relaxing and enjoying the holidays…but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂
The spirit is in the air, the weather not to matter
And I am caught up in the spirit, I must confess,
So white or no, Merry Christmas to ALL!
And may all your presents be filled…. with love and happiness!!

Your poems are so lovely…….and the holiday season does bring on a mix of emotions, just as you wrote. I saw that Ol’ Man Winter visited your home too………we have so much snow here it looks like Michigan where I grew up!
I also love your early present…….I have never seen a solar charger for a phone, I love it! 🙂 Hope today is good to you.

Thank you for visiting!!.. just enough snow here to remind one that it is winter…will be interesting to see if there will be any Christmas day.. 🙂
The charger can be used for anything that uses a USB cord but I purchased it for my phone should I lose power… 🙂
You take care and have a wonderful day filled with love and happiness…
Until we meet again..
May your wishes come true
Your spirit know only peace
Your heart know only love and
Your life’s journey know only happiness

You brought back lots of nostalgia of my teenage years, especially with your song choice, “An Old Christmas Card,” by Jim Reeves. Stay warm in Santa’s stockings 🙂 We don’t get snow here in Los Angeles, but temperatures dropped to the fifties this week–freezing for me.

Thank you for stopping by and glad you enjoyed your visit!.. I will stay warm but I fear it will be my own stockings, not Santa’s.. 🙂
I spent a year in San Diego and with the humidity there can be a chill in the air if the temperature gets low enough, especially after a warm day… 🙂
Take care and until we meet again..
May your wishes come true

Your heart know only love and
Your life’s journey know only happiness
