Thanksgiving (and the holidays) are nearing here on the prairies and taking time to relax and browse some memories… 🙂

As the holiday approaches
One contemplates not the day,
But all the years of memories and thoughts
That one acquired along the way.

Memories filled with sadness, sorrow perhaps
Memories with happiness, joy and no fear,
Memories to bring out the laughter
Memories to bring out a tear.

A special time and one to treasure
And not because of the calendar age,
Because a life of memories and thoughts
Will be adding another page!

Yes, Thanksgiving and the holiday season here on the path approaches and hopefully filled with cheer and goodwill to man.. I am at the ready.. 🙂

Thanksgiving dinner… Check! 🙂

Dessert…. Check! 🙂

Wine… Check! 🙂

And for my backyard friends… Check!.. 🙂

And for those who may be dealing with life’s challenges the holidays, and every day… Check!

And I have some holiday cheer ready to put in the mail and hopefully brighten someone’s day..

Soooooooooo, I believe I am ready for the holidays, to open the bottle of wine and while listening to holiday music, browse the memories that time created.. like the one of my daughter and son, one Christmas morning (before emails, smartphones and Facebook)… 🙂

Well, I will bring my holiday ramblings to a close and prepare for what new adventures may be on the horizon, following my dreams being led by the heart….but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

Memories of home will live in my heart (for when I grow too old to dream) and because “home is where the heart is”, I will always be home for Christmas… 🙂
