“Everyday I have two choices, either to venture into the light, follow one’s dreams and live life, or stay in the shadows, the darkness and never know happiness…” (Larry “Dutch” Woller) on the path least traveled..

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )

A pleasant fall morning on the prairies today, all creatures getting ready for the future… saw the Contrails ( clouds created by engine exhaust) of man and his flying machine chasing one’s destiny…“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover, acquire new friends and gain knowledge of yourself and the world.” (Samual Clemens aka Mark Twain)…

Perhaps Frank has the right idea… 🙂

Hello Diary,

It is a Saturday, a leisurely weekend in the plans for me.. 🙂 speaking of clouds, saw an interesting view today, another indication of change… it is called “Virga” (condensation not making it to the surface)… now in the summer time virga would appear like this (I did not take this photo), like a lace curtain hanging from the cloud… rain not getting to the ground..

With the cooler atmospheric temperatures, today I looked up at the sky and saw this virga…

Instead if rain (liquid) it was in the form of ice crystals, sometimes referred to as “snow”, soooooooooooooo, I could say I had some snow today, though it never got to the ground, BUT a hint of weather to come, Ole Man Winter is on the horizon… 🙂

There are those taking advantage of the pleasant weather, like the local farmer…

And there is my little bushy-tailed knucklehead, the squirrel, having breakfast while keeping a close eye on me… 🙂

Yes, today (as every day) is filled with choices and “Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain… To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices – today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.” (Kevyn Aucoin)

CHOICE
I’ll be what I must be, in spite of me
as life won’t always give the things I choose
and so I have to make what has to be
into the things my life and I can use.

All roads don’t lead to Rome, as it’s been said,
but some to Paris, and a little fun,
so I will change the path where I would dread
to go to where I choose, when I am done.

I’ll not be forced into a better scheme
if I can’t see the end result my way
if it’s not part of what my heart can dream
it never will come to the light of day.

All things can change, if I have any voice
in what they are, and I will make the choice.
(Vee Bdosa 2014)

And now I choose to close… and after a busy week, with a spot of tea will relax for a time, contemplating the tomorrows… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin” and the creeks don’t rise..

Saw a single robin, born free, on its way home, wherever destiny sends the robin…

Much like me… 🙂

Decision made, with eyes on the horizon
It’s down the path least traveled I do venture,
Excitement fills the air, a smile on the face
Looking forward to a great adventure.

So my heart’s compass is pointed to the horizon
Sails set full, safe harbor fading in the distance, a faint glow to eye it seems
And with a pocket full of memories, on the horizon are my dreams, you see
So down the path least traveled I will venture, with spirit born free
(Penned by Larry “Dutch” Woller )

They say there’s a place where dreams have all gone
They never said where, but I think I know
It’s miles through the night just over the dawn
On the road that will take me home

I know in my bones, I’ve been here before
The ground feels the same, though the land’s been torn
I’ve a long way to go, the stars tell me so
On this road that will take me home

Love waits for me round the bend
Leads me endlessly on
Surely sorrows shall find their end
And all our troubles will be gone

And I know what I’ve lost, and all that I’ve won
When the road finally takes me home

And when I pass by, don’t lead me astray
Don’t try and stop me, don’t stand in my way
I’m bound for the hills where the cool waters flow
On the road that will take me home

Love waits for me round the bend
Leads me endlessly on
Surely sorrows shall find their end
And all our troubles will be gone

And I know what I’ve lost and all that I’ve won
When the road finally takes me home
I’m going home, I’m going home, I’m going home

  1. A beautiful post, Dutch! I’ve seen a rain virga but never one of snow. Love your song choice by Celtic Woman. We must all go home one day, but, until then, so many new and exciting opportunities arise when we venture on a path that we’ve not traveled before. I’m blessed to have met you on WordPress ❤
