“I can’t tell you who you are or who you will be, I can only love you and be your friend ” (Adam Clarke) on the path least traveled….

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )

For happiness always be who you wish to be and follow the dreams in your heart.. even though the skies may be at their darkest and you may feel small because the world seems to be against you, remember the words of Mark Twain; “It is not the size of the dog in a fight that matters, it is the size of the fight in the dog”.. and “Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are graced with.” ― Brodi Ashton,

Winds of Change…

I watched that heavy door begin to close,
all the while the winds above me rose.
The years whisper and whistle back into my ear,
the memories haunted by sorrows and fear.

With a new day it finally dawned on me,
the past needed locking and I had the key.
Leave it behind, leap and fly away free,
let the winds of change blow and carry me.

Feel them lifting my wings now able to soar,
up to an open sky and caged no more.
Flying so fast to where no hurt can find,
a place of peace now inhabits my mind.

This heart full of courage never ceases to beat,
knowing my history is not destined to repeat.
Clear paths now lead me to a new destination,
for my life, my future and the next generation.

Hello Diary,

It is a Saturday, a peaceful time between storms…

Sat morning

Contemplate and Wonder…

A peaceful Saturday Morning, watching the sun arise
Thoughts abound, while sipping on a spot of tea,
While taking in Nature’s outdoor portrait
Contemplating, on what Fate may have instore for me.

Change is slowly coming, it whispers in the winds
The door is slowly closing on past history,
With a new awakening with the mind and spirit
But the future is still shrouded in mystery.

With the freedom of being different, in many ways
No social shackles do this mortal wear,
Do welcome change with open mind and spirit
No fear, no worry or dread do I bear.

Does change stop at mortal death, one wonders
Or does it go on forever and ever,
Will I ask the same at another time and place
Somewhere past the 12th of Never?

Will thought and spirit continue
When, as in all things, time comes to an end,
Or does all things cease to be when
To the grave, the mortal body Fate does send.

Alas, but must deal with the present, with today
So now will store thoughts and musings yet to be told,
For it’s down the path least traveled I do venture
To search and hopefully find….what life, and Fate, may behold.

( Larry “Dutch” Woller )

Thankfully the storms predicted for last week did not come to be, though may see some later tonight… unfortunately the refrigerator were not delivered either, had another “storm”, a malfunction with the vehicle that were suppose to deliver, now hopefully will get the new refrigerator Monday… 🙂 but not raising the “white flag” here because “I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” (Louisa May Alcott)….

Spring is here in full force though may see some cool temperatures… all the backyard residents are busy scurrying around doing their daily tasks while pursuing their dreams… saw this squirrel taking a break in its activities and gathering a little sun warmth..

Also some residents out for a early lunch, each different in their own way yet respect and accept each other…

It is unfortunate that a “intelligent” element of the human race will not do likewise “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom”. (Isaac Asimov) and it appears that “intelligent” element of the human race refuses to change “We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark, the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.” Plato

But there is hope… 🙂

Let me but live my life from year to year,
With forward face and unreluctant soul;
Not hurrying to, nor turning from the goal;
Not mourning for the things that disappear
In the dim past, nor holding back in fear
From what the future veils; but with a whole
And happy heart, that pays its toll
To Youth and Age, and travels on with cheer.

So let the way wind up the hill or down,
O’er rough or smooth, the journey will be joy:
Still seeking what I sought when but a boy,
New friendship, high adventure, and a crown,
My heart will keep the courage of the quest,
And hope the road’s last turn will be the best.
(Henry Van Dyke )

And with spring comes the birth of the new and no better sign than this robin…

robin with worm

Just before I sat down for a brief visit and share my thoughts, I saw this robin capture a worm… now, a robin normally eats seeds and berries.. the robin captures worms to feed the new born robins so there is a nest nearby… and hopefully there are those in the human race that will use today’s technology (the worm), give birth to and feed the new and create a world of peace, love, acceptance and understanding!!… 🙂

Well, I had better close, the path is calling, adventures to be found, more memories to be made and rainbows to chase “I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn.” … but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

“Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” ― Roy T. Bennett

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others;
For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness,
And for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”
( Audrey Hepburn )

When you walk through a storm
Keep your chin up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Chorus; Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho’ your dreams
Be tossed and blown
Walk on
Walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Chorus;

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
      wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
      with joy that long endures.
      May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
