“We all have our own life to pursue, our own kind of dream to be weaving. And we all have some power to make wishes come true, as long as we keep believing.” (Louisa May Alcott ) on the path least traveled….

Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking while being different, being me… 🙂

( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )

Setting here with a spot of tea contemplating when the time would be right to do things… alas only the heart knows…

To climb a mountain
To fly a plane,
To hug a friend
To run naked in the rain.

To stand up tall
To make your thoughts known,
To blend with a crowd
To go it alone.

To till the field
To go to war,
To pen a poem of love
To write a musical score.

To take this path
To maybe take the other,
To open ones heart
To share it with another.

Today, tomorrow perhaps?
The answer is in the heart, you see,
So when is the right time, one asks?
When your heart wishes for it to be..

Hello Diary,

Well, it is Thursday, time is moving fast as the pace is picking up outdoors with the weather becoming more like spring.. spent the past few days outdoors preparing the backyard and gardens for “spring cleaning… tulips and crocus starting to come through the leaves…

tulips

Uncovered the pond and the fish had made it through the winter (orange streaks in the sun in the water), were worried with the long cold winter…

And while I were out and about saw Mr. and Mrs. Robin out enjoying the sunshine…

Mr and Mrs robin

And speaking of birds, I saw our lovebirds taking a break from gathering material for their nest…

I also saw Mr. Rabbit getting a snack while going about his busy day…

I were taking a break when I heard a noise, looked up and saw man’s flying machine streaking across the sky…

I am thinking that perhaps there are those on board who are going to that certain someone who makes the world a happy, loving place… “Why is it we don’t always recognize the moment when love begins, but we always know when love ends ‘.. (L.A Story)

Ahhhhh, but love knows no distance… 🙂

Good night my love, I think of thee
As I dream my spirit will flee
Through the clouds oh so free
Your lovely face I hope to see.

Over land so far apart
But always close here in my heart
As I dream in slumber’s cart
My spirit has a trip to start.

To take my love like golden strand
And wrap your heart with gentle hand
Music plays like as poet’s band
As our spirits frolic above the land.

Lonely can seem so far away
Thinking of you every day
But at night let our spirits play
As so in love we both will stay !

(Author Unknown)

WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME…

Not enough words to tell you, my love
Words full of love from the heart,
But I have all eternity to try
This poem will be a start!

You are my everything, my love!
You mean the world to me!
Cannot see life without you
We, my love, were meant to be!

I bathe in your love, dear one
That grows stronger each and every day.
That warms my heart and spirit
With each loving word you say!

I awake in the morning, eagerly
Awaiting treasured words from thee,
To feel the precious warmth and love
You and your words do give to me!

Your love gives life a meaning
Gives me a reason to greet the day,
Warms the very depths of my spirit
Keeps the nightly cold at bay!

At times distance may lay between us
No bounds nor distance….does our love know,
Knows no space or time, darling
As our love continues to grow.

My eternal devotion to you, you alone
Will be there always…forever and ever,
And I will love you so, my love!
Beyond the 12th of Never.

Well, I had better close, have rambled on long enough.. Thought I would pop in and share a few thoughts with you, Diary, didn’t want you to think I lost my way on the path.. 🙂 I shall return again on day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…

Not only social issues but seems the world of religion and beliefs are in turmoil also, a element of world’s society closed minded to the point they will resort to conflict… as the universe is well aware, I am not into religion/beliefs ( “I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief” Gerry Spence) but for those who do have those beliefs and are having difficult times because of the closed minded, I believe there is the saying; “God promised you a safe landing, he did not say it would be a smooth journey”… 🙂 if all else fails, follow the advice of the Seekers…

look to the sky

Speak to the sky whenever things go wrong
And you’ll know you’re not talking to the air
To the air and the world will look better from up there

Speak to t he sky these things can get you down
And you’ll know you’re not talking to the Lord
To the Lord and the world will look better than before

And if I stumble and it seems that I am blind
Or if the road I’m on seems awful hard to find
And though my conversations doesn’t always rhyme
I always trying to find some time- to

Speak to the sky and tell you how I feel
And you know sometimes what I say isn’t right
It’s all right cause I speak to the sky every night

Speak to the sky whenever things go wrong
And you’ll know you’re talking to the air
To the air and the world will look better from up there

    • Thank you for stopping by!… well, girl, out away the dust rag and follow your heart… 🙂

Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
to paint a picture, or write a letter,
bake a cake, or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need.

Dust if you must, but there is not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb!
Music to hear, and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world’s out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
this day will not come round again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it’s not kind.
And when you go, and go you must,
you, yourself, will make more dust!

  1. What beautiful words Larry. And oh, those birds. I haven’t got on very well with my Bird Soap Opera, as it has gotten a bit complicated, think I will just write about the burds generalky. Popcorn still being handed out!

    • Thank you for visiting, Lorraine!.. like you and I all the birds are part of the beautiful puzzle called “life” so write about all… 🙂

  2. It is spring here, too. I have crocuses in my yard (and plenty of cleaning up to do, though it is a postage-stamp yard!), birds and buds on the trees. I even saw a rabbit on the path where I walk. While I am enjoying the warmer weather, and the critters coming out from their hibernation, I am disturbed by what I am not seeing, but that will wait for another day. Hugs, my friend!

    • Thank you for visiting!… yes, spring is busting loose here also, unfortunately the refrigerator crashed and burned over the weekend so dealing with salvaging the food items and preparing for a new refrigerator at the moment…. 🙂
Your yard is the world, Jill….take care, my friend, and hope the coming days are all that you wish for them to be!.. 🙂

      • Thanks Dutch! So sorry about your refrigerator! I had the same a couple of years ago, so I truly empathize! I had never heard that song … perfect choice! Have a great week! Now that you have your new refrigerator, hopefully everything else will go just right this week.
