Diary of the journey on the path least traveled..just letting the heart do the talking while the fingers do the walking… 🙂
( “I do not do, say or write something to been seen or heard… I do, say or write something because it needed to be done, said or written…” , no nominations please, just sharing thoughts while exploring life 🙂 )
In spite of all the negative thinking, closed minded mortals in the universe attempting to impose their ideology on another mortal, there is always hope…
HOPE IS
Hope is a feather floating in a bright blue sky
Hope is that sparkle that shines in your eyes.
Hope is a butterfly fluttering on the wind
Hope is good times spent with family and friends.
Hope is a newborn baby’s cry
Hope is a Mother’s lullaby.
Hope is the rainbow after a rain
Hope is the harvest of golden grain.
Hope is the light that keeps darkness at bay
Hope is the breeze on a hot summer day.
Hope is ever present and free of cost
Hope is the last thing ever lost.
Hope is staying positive when the going gets tough
Hope is seeking help when you feel you’ve had enough.
Hope is recovery from simmering sorrow
Hope is believing in a brighter tomorrow.

Hello Diary,
It is a quiet Sunday morning, the “polar express” had left town Friday… the polar express left this scene in its wake…
But we survived … Phil, the ground hog, says it will be a early spring.. of course it may be wishful thinking on his part also… 🙂 it did feel a bit like spring this morning with the warm-up this weekend…
Now, when I say warm-up, I mean 40F degrees instead of –16F degrees below zero … 🙂 not ready to think about getting into the garden yet… 🙂 did get some sunshine this morning and as I were walking through the house, I glanced at the dresser and “HORRORS”, I need to dust… 😦
Well, after studying the issue briefly, decided to file the thought under “spring cleaning” and take the advice of Rose Milligan… 🙂
Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
to paint a picture, or write a letter,
bake a cake, or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need.
Dust if you must, but there is not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb!
Music to hear, and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world’s out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
this day will not come round again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it’s not kind.
And when you go, and go you must,
you, yourself, will make more dust!
(Rose Milligan)
While technology has been a great thing, unfortunately it has given a certain element of world society a voice..it is a closed minded voice that will not hesitate to attempt to ridicule or humiliate another because another does not think or believe as they do….. a closed minded voice that will stop at nothing to try to prevent another from following one’s heart and realizing one’s dreams… after listening to the closed minded social voice, the question arises; follow the crowd and surrender to the crowds ideology or venture down the path alone?.. well, as Robert Frost said “ I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” I chose Mr. Frost’s thinking, and followed MY heart down the path least traveled and it has made all the difference…
Of course, in doing so I am looked upon as being different but I am okay with that… “If being different is what is wrong, I’d rather not be right, and I’d want to finish living, doing the different fight” (Vincen Tabatha) …. so on down the path I go being different and enjoying it… 🙂
I’d Like To Be Different Instead…
And why do I wish to be different, you may ask,
The freedom to choose, to explore, to learn a lot,
Dictated to by a prophet chained to a myth…. NOT
Maybe so everyone can shout and point at me,
And say, “Hey, he’s different”, don’t you see.
My mind is clear and open, gathering knowledge every day
My spirit is young, adventuresome and floating free,
Not confined by those social chains, no box, no mold for me
I am what I am, I am me, what I wish to be,
Perhaps that makes me different, don’t you see.
So my heart’s compass is pointed to the horizon
Sails set full, safe harbor fading in the distance, a faint glow to eye it seems
And with a pocket full of memories, on the horizon are my dreams
On down the path least traveled I will venture, with spirit free
Why the path least traveled?..well, I’m different, don’t you see.

Or, as Mr. Jobs expressed it..
“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary” Steve Jobs
Well, I had better quit rambling and close for now… a relaxing Sunday being different before the new week arrives with more challenges and adventures… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise…. 🙂
Remember, Diary, do not fall victim to the closed minded mortals who try to ridicule, belittle, intimidate or say hurtful things about you or to you… they are miserable mortals trying to bring you down to their level… stay true to yourself and be yourself… for you are one of a kind and unforgettable… 🙂
So sorry that you have to deal with attacks on your personhood. “Different” terrifies people who find comfort and safety in conformity. They see not that diversity is the norm in the Web of Life, of which we are but a small part.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting… well, no one has confronted me personally although there is the distinct possibility of a percentage of society making remarks behind my back without my knowledge.. it is of no consequence to me as I as I continue on down the path knowing happiness… 🙂

Exactly right Dutch, we are all different and entitled to be so. We should embrace our difference and enjoy it. A very special post with beautiful poetry

Thank you for visiting!.. the only difference is everyone has their own dream to follow.. each and everyone has their own life, they are the only one that can live it, they will only get once chance at it so it is best they do it their way… 🙂
