Life Is Now….

Time flies, and memories fade.
People change and new friendships are made.
Only the true remain forever at our side.
Eventually the disappointment and pain will subside.

It is all about the journey and what has yet to come.
Life is what you make of it; you are what you’ve become.
Life is too short to hold onto regrets.
Forgiveness is key even though you may never forget.

Cherish the good and remove the bad.
Some people don’t realize till it’s gone what they’ve had.
Moving on is a way of life.
There will always be obstacles, pain, and strife.

You must believe that you are strong enough to fight.
You have to believe in yourself to do what is right.
Always do for YOU no matter what you do,
Because in the end the only one who has your back is you.

Never be afraid to take a stand,
And always be willing to lend a helping hand.
A little bit goes a long way.
All it takes is a smile to brighten someone’s day.

Your chance to live is now, so what are you waiting for?
The world is yours for the taking and so much more.
Endless possibilities are forever at your disposal.
The chance to live another day is life’s golden proposal.

Never let anyone tear you down,
And never let anyone steal your shine and make you frown.
So will you sit in the shadows and let darkness win again?
Or will you rise up and make the light your friend?

Hello Diary,

It is a Wednesday morning and a cold one!… 🙂 have a bit of a before and after here… this is what the world looked like on Monday morning…

mon morin

At the time of the photo Monday, the temperature was 32.1 degrees F with a wind chill of 20.9 degrees F… the following photo were taken this morning (Wednesday)….

wed mornin

The sun were a shining so it appears to be a pleasant morning, right?… Wrong!… 🙂 were having gale winds, a temperature of –13.3 degrees below 0F, and the wind chill (what the air felt like on the body) were a –40.4 degrees below 0F… I did venture out at 4 AM to get the weather data and they recommended one dress in layers and cover exposed skin and I did… 🙂

ready to venture out

I am wearing enough clothes on for a family of four… 🙂 but will get through this life’s challenge also, no white flags on the path least traveled…

Enough of the weather for now… having a leisurely day doing minor tasks while keeping watch over the path during this weather event…. have been contemplating following my dreams while observing that many are having difficulty follow theirs, mainly due to social ideology and in some cases conflict… sometimes it may be difficult but one needs to keep trying; “The only thing that stands between you and your dream is the will to try and the belief that it is actually possible.” – Joel Brown

There are many who will use ridicule, etc in an effort to prevent one from following their dreams; “One’s dignity may be assaulted, vandalized and cruelly mocked, but it can never be taken away unless it is surrendered.” Michael J. Fox

I took some time to pen some thoughts…

A Spirit Born Free…

While dealing with the doldrums
That happen often in wintertime,
And while contemplating my tomorrows
Thought I’d pen some thoughts that rhyme.

As I venture through my life
With each step, all the while being me,
An open mind, a heart of dreams
A spirit, enjoying being free.

A spirit that views another
As another feels, wishes to be,
In a realm of acceptance
So another can enjoy being free.

Free…. to love another
No color, gender or race,
Only to know and feel happiness
No social walls to face.

Free to live life as one chooses
Fallow a dream, the heart would say,
Free to walk ones own path of life
Filled with adventures along the way.

There are those who would color me different
Many to gaze upon me with dismay,
But unlike them, I’ve found happiness
Because I chose to live life my way.

(Larry “Dutch” Woller)

“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Well, I had better close for now…. Venture on down the path an see what lies ahead, what new adventures await me… but I shall return again one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise… 🙂

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary” Steve Jobs

  2. Well… this is stirring a whole mix of both thoughts and regrets about my life and personal choices and decisions… but I guess that I should just know by now that regrets have no place in one’s life…
Thank you for your openness in writing!

    • Thank you for visiting… Ahhhhhhh, but “regrets” do have a place in your life…. “regrets” are events in one’s life when one makes decisions based on the event and one’s knowledge.. later “the “regret” is one gaining knowledge of the event, believing that one could have done things different and with that knowledge will perhaps do things differently should the event happen again… however, one should not dwell on regret and have it determine one’s life… 🙂

      • You explain that so well… we only have regrets after gaining knowledge… and after a while we learn to let go of these too…

      • In your computer mind, set up a file “For Future Reference”, store what you learned from the “regret” in there and move on… one can always return to it for reference should history repeat itself… 🙂
