Hawks, sparrows and noodles on the path least traveled….

Diary from the path least traveled..

Hello Diary,

Unlike other parts of the world, it is a quiet Sunday morning with sun and blue skies here on the path least traveled… a relaxing day to be had before preparing for winter and other projects starting next week…will take advantage of the pleasant weather next week and work outdoors.. So thought I would pop in briefly and share a few thoughts before venturing on down the path least traveled…

Had a yearning for tips and noodles so purchased a small pork loin roast yesterday to be cup up into “pork tips…first thing to get rid of as much fat as possible…

Once done, I cut up into about 1” squares, added a bit of pepper, garlic, poultry seasoning, sprayed with butter and put in the fridge to marinate a bit…

After a time, put them on a tray to broil in the roaster oven…

Once done, put most on cookie sheets to put in the freezer so the tips will not stick together (once frozen, will put in zip-lock bags) but saved a handful for diner…added some buttered egg noodles, buttered mashed potatoes covered with bacon bits and parsley, cheesy cauliflower and one has dinner…. 🙂

While waiting for the pork to cook, I glanced out the utility room window and saw a disgruntled Red-tail hawk setting on the fence by the feeder…

There were about 20 sparrows hiding in the brush pile and the hawk was trying to figure out a method to get to the little sparrows but after a time, decided to move on… 🙂

Well, the washing machine just buzzed at me so I had better close and get on with the day, leisurely… 🙂 before I do, I will leave some thoughts by others….;

“Standing up for oneself is not always easy but it is often the only way to walk our true life path. The beaten path only gets you where most people go. Be original and explore new roads.”
― Nanette Mathews

“Becoming free is learning about yourself; the scared and the insecure, the brilliant and the bold. Embrace both and the journey is yours and yours alone. No longer are you following another’s directions and your path and purpose will present themselves. Only then might you find another wandering soul doing the same thing, who can walk with you but on their own journey. All of a sudden you might find a shared passion and a wrinkled map on the trail that makes sense.”
― Riitta Klint

“The one who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The one who walks alone, is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been.”
Albert Einstein

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”
Robert Frost

So, it is HI HO HI HO and on down the path least traveled I go…but I shall return one day, Fate be willin’ and the creeks don’t rise……

And speaking of rising creeks, there are, and will be, a lot of folks south of the Mason/Dixon line today that are asking the same question as Johnny Cash…
